Joelene Mandrakas. A
fresh, new and exciting performer who is about to take the Music
Industry by storm.
First
discovering her love of Music at the age of 10, Joelene grew
up on the sounds of Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Emmy Lou
Harris.
Now
18, and strongly pursuing a career in the music Industry,
Joelene finds her inspiration through the rootsy sounds of
Buddy and Julie Miller, the contemporary sound of Keith Urban
and the alternative tune of Jewel.
Since
the first time she stepped on stage, Joelene has never looked
back, she has travelled throughout Queensland, New South
Wales, Victoria, winning awards at the Country Music Talent
Search in Gympie, Mildura Music Festival, Entertainer
of the Year Quest in Tamworth and the prestigious Queensland
Champion of Champions....just to name a few. Joelene
is a seasoned performer on the gig front, performing with the
likes of Beccy Cole, Tamara Stewart, Michael King, Pru
Clearwater and Catherine Britt.
She regularly appears at venues on the Gold Coast and
around Brisbane. At the 2002 Carrara Country Music Festival, Joelene was one
of the feature artists as well as being asked to perform with
both Beccy Cole and Troy Cassar-Daley. Joelene was asked to
open the Logan City Entertainment Centre and she has also been
approached to sing at a number of events throughout Australia. Joelene performed at the Mildura Country Music Festival in Victoria and she was one of the two featured artists to sing at the North Cost National Show Society Rodeo in Lismore 2002. She has also performed at the Lismore Country Music Festival in November 2002, the Beaudesert Country Music Festival in March 2003 and the Monto Country Music Festival in May 2003 and is booked to appear at the Ipswich Country Music Festival on the 11th October and the 2nd Lismore Country Music Festival on the 22nd November 2003. Joelene's
sights are set on being an International Music artist, heavily dedicating her efforts as a
